SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES Signs Memorandum of Understanding for Delivery of Production Machines for CdTe Thin-Film Solar Modules

Kahl am Main, June 04, 2021 - During the course of the solar trade fair SNEC in Shanghai, SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES today signed a landmark memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the China National Building Materials (CNBM) Group, Beijing. The goal is the expansion of the existing, successful and long-time cooperation for the development and supply of production machines for the CdTe (cadmium telluride) thin-film solar technology.

The MoU includes production machines for the key manufacturing steps for the coating and thermal treatment of solar modules. In addition to its project with regards to the CIGS technology, the customers intends to set up additional, new production sites for the manufacturing of CdTe thin-film solar module in various regions in China. The MoU covers the mutual understanding of CNBM and SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES with respect to the cooperation of the delivery and the set-up of production machines for the new sites in China. CNBM targets an annual output of CdTe solar modules at the sites in a gigawatt range. After the signing of the MoU, SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES will work together with CNBM on the details of the legally-binding delivery contracts for the first batch of deliverable production machines.
