NEW YORK (AP) _ Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (SIRI) on Tuesday reported second-quarter earnings of $433 million.

On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had net income of 10 cents.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 7 cents per share.

The satellite radio company posted revenue of $2.16 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.07 billion.

Sirius XM shares have climbed slightly since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 8% in the last 12 months.
