Baldocer, MYR, Cicogres, STN, Tierra Atomizada and Compacglass adopt innovative technologies from SITI B&T

The ceramic cluster of Castellón, Spain is expanding and strengthening its position in international markets thanks to the use of innovative technologies from SITI B&T, a group listed on the AIM Italia stock market since March 2016. The Italian group has won a series of major orders confirming its role as a key technology partner for the leading Spanish groups, which are particularly attentive to process and product innovations.

Baldocer, a leading company based in Vilafamés (Castellón), has confirmed its complete trust in SITI B&T technologies with the installation of two new high-productivity, high-efficiency lines for the production of large-format glazed porcelain tiles. The plant includes XL EVO 7608/2450 presses, dryers and kilns with high levels of energy efficiency and productivity. SITI B&T's role as a system integrator is also demonstrated by the squaring and honing machines supplied by Ancora (the Group's company specialising in ceramic product finishing) to complete the line.

MYR Cerámica, a company based in Alcora (Castellón), has also made major investments, transforming its factory with the latest SITI B&T technologies. In particular it has installed an XL EVO 6608/2450 press complete with E-Syncro, the best electronic demoulding system, 5-layer dryers and storage and handling systems for medium to large sizes. Thanks to the use of Titanium technology in the single-channel kiln, MYR has seen lower levels of energy consumption and a sharp reduction in atmospheric emissions as well as higher productivity. A high-speed dry squaring system from Ancora is integrated into the plant.

Cicogres has adopted Titanium technology from SITI B&T at its facility in Vilafamés (Castellón) with the aim of increasing production capacity and adding value to products with the introduction of new sizes and product types. Here too it has improved energy efficiency by drastically reducing production costs and emissions. Ancora technologies for squaring, honing and surface protection of materials have been installed in the end-of-line stage. A latest-generation automatic storage system guarantees the flexibility and efficiency of the plant.

A major investment in SITI B&T technologies has enabled Stylnul (STN Cerámica) to achieve excellent results in international markets with the launch of excellent quality innovative products. The group, one of the largest Spanish ceramic producers, has doubled the production capacity of its Azulmed facility with a new high-speed high-efficiency line comprising an EVO 5008/2450 press, a 7-layer dryer with 4000 mm entrance width for large sizes (a world first for the ceramic industry), and a Titanium kiln with 3500 mm entrance width. A dry score-and-snap cutting machine from Ancora has been installed at the kiln exit to optimise finished product processing and guarantee a higher percentage of first-choice products.

A 25,000 litre SITI B&T spray dryer (the largest in the world) has been supplied to Tierra Atomizada Group based in L'Alcora (Castellón) as the ideal solution in a market where flexibility, productivity and energy efficiency are of the utmost importance.

Last but not least, the renowned ceramic tile manufacturer Compacglass belonging to the Pamesa Group and based in Onda (Castellón) has purchased from SITI B&T an XXL Titanium 3500 twin-channel kiln with a length of 160 metres (the largest in operation in Europe) and a hot air recovery system.

The efficiency of the prestigious new installations demonstrates that SITI B&T is able to exploit group synergies to deliver fully integrated and complete turnkey lines equipped with excellent technologies for every stage of the production process, from raw materials preparation through to tile decoration and finishing. These lines are capable of producing any size of products and guaranteeing the maximum flexibility and efficiency as well as lower production costs.
