The group achieved record sales of 1.01 billion euros in the second quarter of 2024. This represents an increase of 8.9% on the same quarter last year. With an increase in sales of over 25%, North America made the strongest contribution to growth of all segments.

Sixt generated sales of 285.8 million euros (+4.3%) in the Germany segment, 400.9 million euros (+1.0%) in the Europe (excluding Germany) segment and 319.1 million euros (+26.8%) in the North America segment.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to 384.2 million euros (vs. 339.6 million euros in Q2 2023).

Earnings before taxes (EBT) returned sharply to the profit zone at 62.9 million euros after a loss in the first quarter.

In the first half of 2024, Group sales amounted to 1.79 billion euros (H1 2023: 1.62 billion euros). EBITDA amounted to €602.0 million (H1 2023: €542.0 million). EBT amounted to €35.4 million (H1 2023: €165.1 million).

The Group is targeting a further significant increase in sales and a significant positive EBT of €340 to €390 million expected, broadly in line with current market expectations at the mid-point and well above the record pre-Covid profit of 2019.
