SEB has been sole structuring adviser to Getinge in the development of a Social Financing Framework.

SEB also acted joint bookrunner when Getinge on Thursday issued a social bond of SEK 570 million to finance investments in eligible projects under the Framework.

The capital from this bond will be used to expand the production of extracorporeal life support (ECLS) products for treatment for patients in a highly critical condition and to expand the production of BetaBags® which is used to minimize the risk of contamination in connection with drug production, such as COVID-19 vaccines and biopharmaceutical drugs.

Last year SEB helped Getinge issue a commercial paper to finance a temporary increase in the production of advanced ventilators by 160 percent - to 26,000 units.
