Skanska has signed a contract with Andenæs Eiendom to build Helgerudkvartalet in Sandvika, Norway. The contract is worth NOK 965 million, about SEK 960 million, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2021. The project is a combination building with both commercial areas and housing. The five lower floors will be commercial premises, with shops and restaurants facing the streets and a square on the ground floor. On the sixth floor, a common roof garden will be built for the homes, which will be located on 6 detached residential buildings on the roof of the commercial premises. The residential buildings will be from 6 to 10 stories high and consist of a total of approximately 220 units in different sizes. The project will be environmentally certified in accordance with BREEAM NOR Excellent. Construction is scheduled to start February 1, 2022 and the project is expected to be completed during the third quarter of 2025. Helgerudkvartalet is the first phase of a large urban development project in the center of Sandvika, which will consist of two new quarters of a total of approximately 60,000 square meters.
