MORE SMRT TRAINS AND BUSES, EXTENDED SERVICE HOURS FOR NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONS 20111. SMRT will be running more trains and buses, and extending service hours on all its lines (North-South, East-West and Circle Lines) on 9 August 2011. Passengers will enjoy shortened waiting times and train and bus services till as late as 1.30am.

• For the Parade: between 3pm and 8.15pm, waiting times on the East-West Line, and the North-South Line between Yishun and Marina Bay stations, will be cut to 3.5 minutes, from 4.5 to 5 minutes
• After the Parade: between 8.15pm and 11.15pm, waiting times on the East- West Line, and the North-South Line between Marina Bay and Yishun stations, will be further cut to 3 minutes, from 4.5 to 5 minutes
3. On the Circle Line, between noon and 11.15pm, waiting times for both directions will be between 4 and 7 minutes.
4. Parade visitors headed for Marina Bay Sands and its vicinity should exit from Marina Bay or Raffles Place Station on the North-South Line, and not Promenade Station on the Circle Line, as road closures will block access from Promenade Station.1

Extended service hours on eve of National Day (9 August morning)5. Extended service hours for late night revellers
• From City Hall Station, the last Northbound, Eastbound and Westbound trains will depart at 12.30am
• Passengers on the last Northbound train can connect to the last Circle Line trains at Bishan and Dhoby Ghaut Interchanges
• Passengers on the last Eastbound train can connect to the last Circle Line trains at Paya Lebar Interchange
• Passengers on the last Westbound train can connect to the last Southbound train at Jurong East Interchange at 12.55pm (train service will end at Kranji Station)
• The last Northbound train will have no connecting Eastbound or Westbound train at Jurong East Interchange
• At Choa Chu Kang Interchange, passengers on the last MRT train can connect to the last Bukit Panjang LRT train at 1.22am.
6. Train services between Expo and Changi Airport Stations remain unaffected. Last train times are:
• Last train from Tanah Merah Station to Changi Airport Station: 11.50pm
• Last train from Changi Airport Station to Tanah Merah Station: 12.06am
• Last train from Expo Station to Tanah Merah Station: 12.11am
