Getting on board SMRT no longer only refers to trains, buses and taxis, but SMRT Investment's latest e-commerce initiative - iMOB, or I'm On Board.  It is the single platform that integrates advertising, digital and retail businesses and offers convenient and immediate access to rich branded content and lifestyle deals in and around SMRT's transport network.

With iMOB, the shopping experience with SMRT and its rewards are now extended online with popular brands and retailers of specialty goods and services. Offering a suite of products online over major lifestyle categories, iMOB entices commuters on-the-go to grab deals as they are broadcast island-wide across the public transport network.

iMOB can be accessed via www.iMOB.sg. Navigation is extremely intuitive, with content streamlined into nine major lifestyle categories-food, fun, tech, fashion, wellness, travel, home, family and shops. Explore each of these categories for in-depth and often exclusive brand content, alongside an exciting selection of savers, promotions and deals.

iMOB's dedicated mobile application (available on Apple's iTunes app store and Google Play Store) will be available in 4th quarter of this year. Existing Facebook fans of iMOB will also receive regular alerts for exciting deals.

Coming On Board - New Opportunities

Said Dawn Low, Managing Director of SMRT Investments, "iMOB leverages SMRT's strength in transport, retail and advertising to drive business growth. By integrating e-commerce into our portfolio of retail and advertising assets, we are creating more value for business partners and clients, as well as more lifestyle conveniences and services to our consumers."

Jeslyn Tan, Senior General Manager, Media & Digital Business elaborates. "SMRT Media's value proposition to capture, engage, activate is now boosted by iMOB, a vital e-commerce piece of the digital jigsaw. With the combined forces of our digital OOH network and iMOB, we can now provide creative island-wide product exposure, and bring brands right into the hands of our consumers."

Partner on Board - Citibank, Official Card

Cardmembers from iMOB's official card partner Citibank, will be on board for a slew of special promotions. In addition, Citibank-SMRT Visa cardmembers will enjoy $10 off their first purchase.

iMOB is SMRT's interactive space (iSpace) dedicated to e-commerce. As early as 2011, SMRT offered information on the go and mobile shopping using mobile apps that tapped into near field technology. In 2012, SMRT launched Shop & Pay, improving the shopping experience with PayPal payment and QR Code shopping availability. In 2013, SMRT moved beyond shopping to bring more fun and lifestyle experiences to consumers with iMOB Scan and Win. The current iMOB takes these initiatives further with enhanced interactive content and e-shopping features.
