Smurfit Kappa Group plc - Share Buy-Back Transaction

Smurfit Kappa Group plc announces that, from today, it will commence a share buy-back transaction of up to approximately 1.2 million Smurfit Kappa Group plc ordinary shares ('Shares') to mitigate the dilution of Shares issued on the vesting of awards under its Performance Share Plan earlier this year.

Any Shares repurchased will be cancelled.
