SNP Austria: Long-time Managing Director Gerald Huhn
Hands over Reins to Stefan Lampl

  • - Gerald Huhn steps down as Managing Director after 24 years with the company
  • - New Managing Director Stefan Lampl will focus on acquiring new customers and further developing relationships with existing customers in the markets of Austria, Spain and the Eastern Europe region

Heidelberg/Pasching, April 13, 2021- A personnel change is taking place at the international software manufacturer and consulting firm SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner SE. Stefan Lampl will take over as Managing Director of the company in Austria with effect from July 1, 2021. He succeeds Gerald Huhn, who is retiring after 24 years.

Lampl brings more than 20 years of consulting and sales experience in the technology sector, especially in the SAP environment, as well as comprehensive market knowledge. His past responsibilities have included large SAP projects, business transformations and specialist consulting areas at SAP, and he has held various sales roles at Austrian SAP licensing and consulting partners. The 49-year-old replaces Gerald Huhn, who has played a key role in shaping the Austrian company as Managing Director since 2009 as well as developing the company as a whole through his expertise and smart management style, and who is handing over a well-ordered company to his successor.

With its transformation platform CrystalBridge and highly automated, selective data migration approach, SNP enjoys a great deal of trust throughout Austria among companies that are facing complex and high-risk changes to their SAP landscapes or looking to implement new technologies such as cloud environments. In addition to the Austrian market, Lampl will focus on expanding and further developing the markets in Spain and the Eastern Europe region in the coming months. As an experienced manager who is adept at setting up marketing and sales divisions, he plans to drive new customer business and further develop existing customer business as part of a forward-looking market positioning strategy. He will also help to develop the global SNP partner program, which has been officially running since last year, from the Austria location.

SNP CEO Michael Eberhardt is happy to have found a suitable successor for the long-standing and valued Managing Director Gerald Huhn from within his own ranks: 'Gerald has worked for the company with great passion and delivered impressive results for over two decades, helping SNP to achieve great recognition as a likeable brand ambassador - not only in Austria. Managing a company in the SNP Group requires an enormous amount of expertise and market knowledge as well as tact and sensitivity. In addition, we have to be able to manage the constant new demands placed on us by companies as a result of technological change and translate them into innovation. This is where our products and services come into play. Stefan Lampl brings these skills with him, and we are very pleased that he will be shaping the fate of SNP Austria from the middle of the year onward.'

Stefan Lampl adds: 'I am very much looking forward to the new job and to being able to make a significant contribution to SNP's success as the future Managing Director. The goals are clearly defined, and my long-standing experience in the SAP environment and extensive knowledge of the local market will help me to achieve them. I am particularly looking forward to working with the global SNP teams, whose innovative spirit is a key driver and great asset in the face of international competition.'
