Mr. Ionut Pascu resigned from the position of Chief Business Development Officer of Electrica Group

Mr. Ștefan-Ionuț Pascu, Chief Business Development Officer, notified the Company of the waiver of his interim mandate as granted by the Board of Directors on 27 September 2021, the mandate being to cease starting with 1 May 2022.

Mr. Pascu coordinated the area of: Market and Business Analysis, Strategic Projects at Group level, Mergers and Acquisitions and Investor Relations, and starting January 1st, also took over the role of Interim Chief Market Officer, having responsibilities of strategical coordination of the business lines in the competitive segments of Electrica Group (supply, energy services).

During these seven months of mandate, Ștefan-Ionuț Pascu coordinated projects such as the updating Electrica Group's strategy for 2019-2023, the Fit for Future program (with a first component of rethinking the corporate governance structure and organization at Group level and its subsidiaries) or the Vitalis program (strategic recovery program of the energy services company), as the first steps in an extensive global transformation process meant to prepare the Group to act agile in a environment marked by volatility and complexity and last, but not least, to strengthen its financial performance in a sustainable way. In the M&A area, Mr. Pascu coordinated the successful acquisition of a 77 MW photovoltaic park project.

Ștefan-Ionuț Pascu has an experience of 16 years of leadership and entrepreneurship in the energy & utilities, telecommunications, and management consulting industries, as well as functional expertise in areas of strategy, transformation programs, marketing and sales, digital transformation, innovation, post- acquisition integrations, restructuring and cost reduction programs.

Before joining the Electrica Group, Mr. Pascu worked for Deutsche Telekom - Romania as Digitization Director and previously as a member of Roland Berger's management team, in the Central & Eastern Europe and in UK.
