SABCA MAROC HOSTS THE BELGIAN ECONOMIC MISSION PRESIDED BY

HRH PRINCESS ASTRID OF BELGIUM, REPRESENTATIVE OF HIS MAJESTY THE KING

CASABLANCA, 26 November 2018. As part of the Belgian Economic Mission to Morocco, the SABCA Group is honoured to receive a visit from Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, Representave of His Majesty the King, at its SABCA site in Casablanca.

As it prepares to celebrate one hundred years of existence, the SABCA group, a major player in the aeronaucal and aerospace industries, was given the opportunity to showcase the knowledge and experse on display at SABCA's Casablanca site on the occasion of a visit from Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium.

The Belgian Economic Mission to Morocco enables the creaon of stronger es between Belgian and Moroccan businesses, and was the occasion for the group to officially inaugurate its Moroccan site in Casablanca under its new name: SABCA Maroc. During the inauguraon, the SABCA group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SABENA Aerospace. This agreement lays the groundwork for a partnership with SABENA on MRO&U (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul, and Upgrade) operaons on military aircraſt in Morocco.

For the State Secretary for Foreign Trade, Cécile Jodogne, representing the Brussels-Capital Region during this mission, SABCA's expertise in aeronautics, supported by its Moroccan plant, clearly allows Morocco and Belgium to position themselves together economically and strategically on the African continent in this sector.

"This example reinforces my belief that there is a huge potenal for mutually beneficial economic collaboraon for our two countries. This is as more relevant for Brussels, as we have made the development of our exports to Africa one of the priories of our foreign trade policy", Cécile Jodogne adds.

The Acvies of the Casablanca Plant

SABCA Maroc's acvies began in Spring 2012, with training for plant operators in partnership with the Instut des Méers de l'Aéronauque (IMA). In November 2012, SABCA Maroc delivered its first structural components for Airbus aircraſt, followed, in June 2013, by its first sub-assemblies for Dassault Falcon jets.

Through its modern producon facilies and EN 9100 quality cerficaon, all paired with renowned experse in the fields of riveng, sealing, and painng, SABCA Maroc has the ability to meet the demands of the main market players.
