ACTIVITY

The overall traffic handled by Marsa Maroc Group at the end of September, stood at 37.9 million tons, up 9.1% compared with the same period in 2021.

This level of activity results from the evolution of the following main elements :

• containerized traffic reached a volume of 1,535 thousand TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent unit), up 10% compared with the end of September 2021:
• • transshipment container traffic stood at 795 thousand TEUs, showing a significant increase of 32%;
  • domestic traffic reached 741 thousand TEUs, limiting its decline to 6.5% for the first nine months.
• bulk and general cargo traffic increased by 7.6% to 21.7 million tons :
• • dry bulk traffic amounted to 11.9 million tons showing an increase of 3.1%, driven by the export of salt and feldspar and the import of coal to supply thermal power stations;
  • liquid bulk traffic reached 7.9 million tons, a significant increase of 15.7% explained by the rise in fuel oil imports to cope with the cessation of LNG supplies.

Consolidated revenue amounted to MAD 2,965 million as of September 30th 2022, up 12% compared to MAD 2,650 million revenue achieved at the end of September 2021.

SCOPE OF CONSOLIDATION

There was no change in the Group's scope of consolidation during the third quarter of 2022.

INVESTMENT

Consolidated investments made by the Group at the end of September 2022 amounted to MAD 198 million and mainly concerned the acquisition of equipment.

DEBT

The Group reduced its net debt at the end of September 2022 to MAD 631 million. It is made up of MAD 2,638 million of financing debts and MAD 2,007 million of cash.
