The national carrier Tunisair announced the transfer of its departure and arrival flights from Monastir airport towards Paris-Orly to Tunis-Carthage airport towards Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, following the strike staged by the employees of TAV-Tunisie Company.

In a press release issued on Thursday, Tunisair said that the departure of Tunisair flight No. 440 from Tunis-Carthage Airport is scheduled for 7:30 pm and the arrival at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport is scheduled for 10:50 pm.

The carrier added that the return flight of Tunisair n°441 takes off from Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport at 11.50 pm while the arrival at Tunis-Carthage airport will be Saturday at 1.20 am.

The national carrier affirmed in the same vein, that it will provide transport for passengers via buses from the Tunis capital to Monastir.

The General Federation indicated that the airports of Enfidha and Monastir will stage a strike on June 17-18, 2021, in protest against the procrastination of the TAV-Tunisie Company and the non-compliance with the agreements signed to this effect.

The company considers that the economic crisis, which is becoming increasingly difficult following the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and its negative effects on the activity and income of employees, not to mention the difficulties in recovering debts, makes it necessary to resort to the dismissal of a number of employees.
