Tokyo stocks ended lower Monday, tracking a technology stock-driven fall late last week on Wall Street and losses in Nikkei heavyweight SoftBank Group Corp.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended down 115.48 points, or 0.50 percent, from Friday at 23,089.95. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange finished 6.86 points, or 0.42 percent, lower at 1,609.74.

Decliners were led by information and communication, food and construction issues.
