WASHINGTON, Sept 9 (Reuters) - The U.S. International Trade Commission said on Friday it would investigate allegations that home-audio company Sonos violated U.S. law by importing certain audio players and components that infringed upon patents owned by Alphabet Inc's Google.

The investigation is based on a complaint filed by Google on Aug. 9, the USITC said, adding that it has not yet made any decision on the merits of the case.
