  • Hit is the 1 network with women aged 25-54
  • Triple M is the 1 network with men aged 25-54

  • SCA's DAB+ radio stations are growing and reach 776,000 people each week
  • During the survey period, SCA recorded new records for total live radio streaming reach, as well as recording highest ever live radio streaming reach for the Triple M and Hit networks**.

SCA Chief Content Officer, Dave Cameron, said: "We are very pleased to see 2DayFM's growth in both audience share and cume, bucking the trend of all other competitor FM stations' declining share in a difficult locked down environment. It's also very encouraging to see the 2DayFM Morning Crew with Hughsey, Ed and Erin as the only FM Breakfast show to increase its audience cume in Sydney where the lack of work commute continues to broadly affect breakfast and drive listening behaviours.

"2DayFM is at the beginning of its new journey of growth with a new Breakfast show still settling into Sydney, alongside its '90's to Now' feel great music format. Today for 2Day is a promising result."

"Triple M has also delivered a strong result given the Sydney lockdown situation and has held in breakfast with Moonman in the Morning in difficult market COVID-conditions.

"Melbourne's severe and ongoing COVID-lockdown conditions have affected listening behaviours in those traditional work-commute/school drop off and pickup times, although not to the same extent as 2020. The Fox is strong in challenging conditions, still delivering Melbourne's biggest audience in FM Breakfast with Fifi, Fev and Nick.

"Triple M's newest Breakfast show, The Marty Sheargold Show has increased its share as it continues to settle in and build its audience and establish itself as Triple M's next big comedy breakfast show that doesn't sound like anything else in the city. Marty's National 3pm show is also now the No. 1 commercial show for males 25-54 nationally.

"Brisbane remains a very tight, competitive market with both B105 and Triple M in the pack delivering strong results.

"In Adelaide we remain quietly confident about SAFM's return to the market, a positive increase led by Bec, Cosi and Lehmo which is now the No.2 FM Breakfast show in Adelaide. Both SAFM and Triple M in Adelaide were the only two FM Breakfast shows to grow in audience share.

"Finally, Perth continues to be a strong market for SCA with Mix94.5 in the No.2 position overall, and Carrie and Tommy narrowing the gap in Drive with a good share increase.

"Nationally, it was a strong result for the Hit Network's Carrie and Tommy remaining stable or increasing in four out of five markets as it continues to build a huge national audience.

"The digital transformation of our business has resulted in record live streaming across Hit and Triple M as the number of people turning to radio for live streaming continues to grow. It shows the strength of our product and the strength of our brands."
