SPIE involved in Hudson's Bay march

Breda, October 2th, 2017 - SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, has played a role in creating the new interiors for a number of Hudson's Bay outlets in The Netherlands. Work has been completed or is still underway on the building-related installations in Almere, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Maastricht.

An attractive contract for which SPIE Nederland's national coverage works well. Conducted through various SPIE divisions, the retail premises are being extended or upgraded in accordance with the requirements of Hudson's Bay. This involves electro technical and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) work. Subcontracting is being carried out by MVRO, project agency for retail building management and Hudson's Bay Head Contractor.

In Maastricht, the mechanical engineering and sprinkler systems were upgraded and the electrical installations and fire and evacuation systems renewed. In Almere, the electrical installations were upgraded and the HVAC system optimised. In Rotterdam, SPIE installed new water installations, and in Amsterdam, a brand new sprinkler system.

recent acquisition of Aaftink by SPIE Nederland, together with the takeover of Ad Bouman, has given SPIE a major position in the retail market in the Netherlands. 'A contract like this underlines the win-win situation for both parties following the takeover,' concludes Paul Matlung, Director of Aaftink.
