Spie announced on Thursday that it had been chosen to take charge of the automation of a pilot research project conducted by the Technical University of Dresden (Germany).

The engineering group explains that it has been commissioned by TU Dresden to automate an installation intended to produce a hydrogen-rich synthesis gas from the use of composite waste.

The aim of the project - financed by the Saxony Development Bank and the Sächsiche Aufbaubank (SAB) - is to convert pyrolysis gas into synthesis gas containing hydrogen, for which there is a growing market.

Spie explains that it installed the sensors and the regulation and control technology for the system, and also programmed the automation system, which processes the physical parameters and displays them in a control tool.
