VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT

FULL REDEMPTION OF THE CONVERTIBLE BONDS

Reference is made to the (i) announcement of SPT Energy Group Inc. (the "Company") dated 7 August 2012 (the "Announcement") in relation to the issuance of the Convertible Bonds; (ii) the announcement dated 31 December 2012 in relation to the amendments to the terms and conditions of the Convertible Bonds; (iii) the announcements dated 5 June 2013 and 5 June 2014 in relation to the adjustment of conversion price of the Convertible Bonds; (iv) the announcement dated 12 June 2015 in relation to the amendments to the terms and conditions of the Convertible Bonds; and (v) the clarification announcement dated 15 June 2015 in relation to the amendments to the terms and conditions of the Convertible Bonds. Unless otherwise defined, capitalised terms used in this announcement shall have the same meanings as given to them in the Announcement.

The board of directors (the "Board") of the Company is pleased to announce that, the Company has redeemed the Convertible Bonds in full in the principal amount of US$15,000,000 together with the unpaid interest accrued up to the maturity date of the Convertible Bonds in the aggregate amount of US$15,286,028 in cash (the "Full Redemption") on 20 August 2018, being the maturity date of the Convertible Bonds. The Convertible Bonds have been cancelled by the Company in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Convertible Bonds.

The Board considered that there will be no material financial impact on the Company as a result of the Full Redemption.
