Blackstone has appointed a trio of new board members to St Modwen, following the completion of its £1.27 billion acquisition. The private equity owner has appointed executives Nick Porter, Adam Shah and Peter Krause to the developer’s board. Porter has worked in Blackstone’s Real Estate Group for a year and was previously a director for Lone Star funds, based in Hong Kong. He worked at Hudson Advisors and was also a vice president for Lone Star in Tokyo. Adam Shah is a managing director and head of real estate asset management in Europe for Blackstone. He has been with Blackstone for over three years and was previously managing director and chief operating officer for Europe at Starwood Capital. Peter Krause is also a managing director and joined Blackstone in 2011. He is based in the US. Chair Dunata Gray has resigned alongside members Ian Bull, Simon Clarke, Jenefer Greenwood, Jamie Hopkins, Alison Nimmo and Sarah Whitney. The board members will lead St Modwen’s strategy to expand its industrial and logistics platform, representing around half of its £1.4 billion portfolio, as well as its business and its strategic land bank, which provides development sites for both sectors.
