Standard Bank Group Ltd. warned Wednesday of posting significantly lower earnings per shares and headline earnings per share for the first half of the year.

The bank said that first-half earnings per share are expected to be between 60% and 80% lower when compared with the year-earlier period.

Headline earnings per share are anticipated to be between 30% and 50% below the reported figures of the first half of 2019.

The lender added, however, that it remains well capitalized.
