SALEM, N.H. (AP) _ Standex International Corp. (SXI) on Thursday reported fiscal first-quarter profit of $9.7 million.

On a per-share basis, the Salem, New Hampshire-based company said it had profit of 79 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 96 cents per share.

The equipment manufacturing company posted revenue of $151.3 million in the period.

Standex shares have dropped 23% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $61.24, a decline of 20% in the last 12 months.
