Star Bulk Carriers Corp. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2024. For the second quarter, the company reported revenue was USD 352.88 million compared to USD 238.69 million a year ago. Net income was USD 106.08 million compared to USD 44.32 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.97 compared to USD 0.43 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.93 compared to USD 0.43 a year ago.
For the six months, revenue was USD 612.27 million compared to USD 462.72 million a year ago. Net income was USD 180.94 million compared to USD 90.19 million a year ago. The Company owns and operates a diverse fleet of dry bulk vessels that transport bulk commodities, including iron ore, minerals and grain, bauxite, fertilizers and steel products, along worldwide shipping routes.
