60 days free access to video-on-demand service when you buy Etika beverages

Petaling Jaya: With every purchase of a 300ml carton of either Pepsi, Revive or 7Up, customers will receive 60 days free access to dimsum.my.

In conjunction with Chinese New Year, the latest subscription video-on-demand service by Star Media Group, dimsum.my has partnered with beverage distributor Etika Sdn Bhd to give away limited edition red packets featuring a promo code for free access to the platform.

With access to dimsum.my, five users can stream content across multiple devices concurrently using the same account.

dimsum.my chief marketing officer Lam Swee Kim said Etika was the first company to partner with the video-on-demand service.

'From now to the end of February, a total of 400,000 cartons will have the limited edition angpow packets.

'Each carton will have nine limited edition red packets featuring the promo code. Etika was our first partner when we started and we will remain loyal. We hope to continue this collaboration and become lifelong partners.

'We have also just secured the rights to simulcast live the annual Chinese New Year events such as the 2017 JSBC Countdown Concert, the 2017 JSBC Spring Festival Gala and the 2017 JSBC Lantern Festival Gala.

'This is an added treat for all our subscribers to tune in during Chinese New Year,' she said.

Fans of Stephen Chow can treat themselves to a variety of his well-known films such as Fight Back To School, Flirting Scholars, God of Gamblers and many more.

Users may also download shows to watch offline and select multi-language subtitles for better viewing experience.

Etika's group marketing manager Santharuban Thurai Sundaram said the timing of the partnership is an excellent one.

'During Chinese New Year, isotonic and other canned drinks are heavily consumed.

'This is an excellent time for us to add value to our customer's purchase by giving them access to dimsum.my

'I've tried the platform myself and I think it has a very wide range of content and is so flexible to use on any device at any time,' he said.

Customers can log on to www.dimsum.my to register and key in the promo code.

Upon registration, users will be able to stream content on the website or through the dimsum.my app which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store.
