Chick-fil-A tops the list of food offerings loved by teens, according to the "Taking Stock With Teens" survey that polled 10,000 teenagers across 44 U.S. states with the average age of 15.8 years.

The survey revealed 16% named Chick-fil-A as top pick for the fourth year. Starbucks weighed in at 10%, with Chipotle and McDonald's tied at 5%. Olive Garden came in in fifth place with 4% of the vote, overtaking Dunkin', according to the survey.

The survey also reported 14% of teens are consuming plant-based meats, including Impossible Foods as the top choice (40% share) and Beyond Meat No. 2 (31%).

Food weighed in as the most important category for male teens with 21% of the vote, while 29% of female teens said clothing was their top concern.

Overall teen spending increased 6% compared to the same time period in 2020. The average teen self-reported spending $2,274 per year.
