Nadine Chakar and Donna Milrod named to Most Powerful Women List; Chakar for the second consecutive year

BOSTON, October 7, 2021 - State Street Corporation (NYSE:STT) today announced that six of the firm's executive leaders have been named to the 2021 American Banker's Most Powerful Women and HERoes Women Role Model lists. Both awards recognize advocates of female leadership and gender diversity in the financial industry.

The American Banker Most Powerful Women list celebrates the industry's most influential female executives in financial services for their business acumen, professional achievements, professional development of women and personal tenacity. Nadine Chakar, head of State Street Digital and Donna Milrod, head of Global Asset Managers as well as State Street's Global Clients Division are two of this year's recipients. This marks the second consecutive year that Chakar has been honored.

Additionally, four of State Street's leaders were named to the 2021 HERoes Women Role Model Lists, maintained by Yahoo! Finance. The lists feature executives recognized as champions for women in business. State Street executives recognized includes:

  • HERoes 35 Advocate Executives List
    • Ron O'Hanley, chairman and chief executive officer
    • Lou Maiuri, chief operating officer
  • HERoes 100 Women Executives List
    • Yvonne Garcia, chief of staff to State Street chairman and CEO and global head of internal communications
  • HERoes 100 Women Future Leaders
    • Marion Bentata, vice president, leveraged loans analyst

O'Hanley was named to the 35 Advocate Executives List for the fourth consecutive year, and Maiuri for the third, securing spots number 7 and 21 respectively.

Garcia was named to the list for the second consecutive year, ranking at number 23. Bentata is also named for the second consecutive year to the Future Leaders list, for making a significant contribution to gender diversity at work and being a role model for LGBT+ women.
