Steel Dynamics, Inc. (NasdaqGS:STLD) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Roca Acero, S.A. De C.V. on May 16, 2022. The transaction was funded with available cash. After completion entire team of Roca Acero will part of Steel Dynamics, Inc. This transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and receipt of required regulatory approvals. Vincent J. Pappalardo of Brown Gibbons Lang & Company LLC acted as financial advisor and Pablo Rión Y Asociados acted as financial advisor to Roca Acero.

Steel Dynamics, Inc. specializes in the manufacturing and marketing of carbon steel products. Net sales (including intragroup) break down by activity as follows:
- sale of steel products (66.2%): hot and cold rolled flat steel products, coated plates, beams, long commercial steels, rails, special profiles, etc.;
- treatment and processing of steel and metal scrap (21.3%);
- production of steel components for the non-residential construction industry (8%): frames, beams, joists, pilings, etc.;
- other (4.5%).
