Stellantis NV appointed Chris Taylor as chief digital information officer, a newly created role that the auto maker hopes will drive its transformation into a sustainable mobility tech company.

The maker of the Jeep and Dodge brands said Wednesday that Mr. Taylor had already joined Stellantis. He recently served as chief transformation officer at software company ServiceNow Inc. He was also global vice president at plane manufacturer Airbus SE.

Mr. Taylor carries almost 30 years of IT experience spanning multiple industries, including aviation, manufacturing, software, and telecoms.
