September 29, 2020 STEP Energy Services Pushes the Limits - Breaking Records for a Valued Client in the Bakken

Calgary, AB - September 29, 2020 - STEP Energy Services Ltd. ('STEP') is pleased to share the successful achievement of a client's depth record while performing a milling operation in North Dakota. After milling 37 plugs, and travelling through another 14 dissolvable plugs, at pressures over 6,300 psi (43 MPa), STEP professionals tagged a depth of 7,134 meters (23,404 ft) with 2-3/8' (60.3 mm) CT. STEP worked in close collaboration with the client to design a custom string for their multi-well completion program. With STEP's expertise in engineering, sales, operations, and health and safety the team was able to deliver an efficient intervention program which resulted in the record depths.
