Stericycle, Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was USD 672.7 million compared to USD 598.2 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 55.6 million compared to USD 24.9 million a year ago. Net income was USD 29.3 million compared to net loss of USD 4.5 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.32 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.05 a year ago. For the half year, sales was USD 1,340.7 million compared to USD 1,383.2 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 114.7 million compared to operating loss of USD 5.5 million a year ago. Net income was USD 55.4 million compared to net loss of USD 24.6 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.6 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.27 a year ago.

The Company's SID services include SID and compliance solutions (including document, hard drive, and specialty destruction services) under the Shred-it brand name, which includes regular scheduled services (and processing onsite and offsite) and one-time services (including select, priority and express).
