At Stericycle, we observe Black History Month to honor the vital contributions and achievements of African Americans. This also reinforces our commitment to a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace for our team members. Diversity is one of our core values, and honoring the achievements and efforts of African Americans at Stericycle is just one way we put that value into action.

This year, Black History Month at Stericycle includes events organized by one of our employee resource groups, Blacks Unify for Inclusion, Leadership, and Diversity (BUILD). A Stericycle community of Black team members and allies, BUILD aims to create a positive and inclusive environment for Black team members, promoting training, leadership, and mentorship while upholding Stericycle's core values.

BUILD-sponsored events this February include separate discussions on real estate investment strategy and the importance elevating black leaders, a virtual tour of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, and a yoga session utilizing trap, a form of hip-hop music that originated in the southern United States.
