StoneCo CFO Marcelo Baldin Departs, Silvio Morais Appointed as Interim CFO

StoneCo Ltd. finance chief Marcelo Baldin is stepping down.

The company said Thursday that Silvio José Morais has been appointed to succeed Mr. Baldin in an interim position.

StoneCo didn't provide a reason for Mr. Baldin's departure. He has been with the StoneCo for five years and helped the company with its initial public offering.

Mr. Morais will step down temporarily as a board member to assume the position of interim finance chief. Prior to joining StoneCo, Mr. Morais served as the controller for Ambev SA from 1998 to 2019, the company said.
