The Nomination Committee of Storebrand ASA has unanimously decided to nominate Didrik Munch as the new Board Chairman of the company, succeeding Birger Magnus, who is resigning after serving in the office for eight years. Munch has long and varied experience from the public and private business sectors, particularly from the finance and media industries. He has been employed in managerial positions in the DnB Group for five years, most recently as the Division Director for the Corporate Market. After that, he was the Managing Director of Bergens Tidende for 10 years, and he has been employed by the Schibsted Group since 2009, the first three years as the CEO of the subsidiary Media Norge, and from 2011 in his current position as the CEO of Schibsted Norge. Munch has thus valuable experience from the challenging digital development and reorganisation that has taken place in the media industry in recent years. The election of a new Board of Directors will take place at the Annual General Meeting of Storebrand on 5 April 2017.
