Storskogen has entered into an agreement to acquire the shares in Tysse Mekaniske Verksted AS (”Tysse”) via its subsidiary Brenderup Group. Tysse is one of the leading Norwegian manufacturer and supplier of trailers with a reported turnover of NOK 241m for the financial year 2021. “We are very happy to welcome Tysse to Brenderup Group. Tysse has a great product portfolio comprising high quality products, a strong brand and a modern production facility. We expect to see several opportunities for the companies to work together in close collaboration,” says Stefan Petersén, CEO of Brenderup Group.

Since 1972 Tysse has manufactured trailers with a focus on quality and product development. The company holds a strong market position in Norway, employing approximately 65 people. Tysse has its headquarter and production facility in Tyssebotnen on Osterøy, North of Bergen.

Tysse is the first add-on acquisition to Brenderup Group since the company became part of Storskogen in July 2021. The managing Director for Tysse Mekaniske Verksted AS, Per Steinar Osmundnes, will continue in his role within the company and report to Brenderup Group CEO.

Rune Tysse, second generation owner of Tysse, will continue in his role as Technical Manager in the company after the transaction.

”Tysse is somewhat of an ‘industrial adventure’ created by owners, employees and resellers through 60 years of hard work. The Tysse family is immensely proud over what the company has achieved. To continue to grow and expand internationally, I concluded that Tysse should be part of a larger group. With Storskogen and Brenderup Group we have an owner with great product- and production know-how and an owner that shares the same values and goals as Tysse. An industrial owner provides us with the best opportunities to continue develop the company and secure growth and job opportunities in Tyssebotnen in the coming generations,” says Rune Tysse.

The company will be part of Storskogen’s business area Industry and the vertical Products, for which Fredrik Bergegård is responsible.

“Tysse is a fine company with a long history and strong brand and product range on the Norwegian market that will strengthen Brenderups Group’s position and local presence. I am excited to follow the further development of the two companies, and how they will support each other through their journey together,” says Fredrik Bergegård.

The transaction is subject to approval by competition authorities and is expected to be completed during the end of the first quarter 2022.
