The Storytel Awards are more popular than ever in the Nordics. In total, around 130,000 Nordic audiobook listeners have nominated their favourites for their local awards, which is more than twice as many as last year.

Since 2015, when Storytel arranged its first audiobook awards in Sweden, the popularity of audiobooks have increased significantly and so has the public engagement in Storytel Awards. In total, around 130,000 people have nominated their favourite authors and narrators to the local award ceremonies in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland - an all time high. The ceremonies will take place in March and April.

"I am really pleased and thankful for the fantastic response that Storytel Awards has received from the public and the publishing industry. Storytel Awards celebrates the authors and narrators of all the great stories that have enabled the audiobook phenomenon to thrive and impact people's everyday lives and popular culture", says Jonas Tellander, founder and CEO of Storytel.
