COLOGNE (dpa-AFX) - Outdoor advertising specialist Ströer is cautious about its business in the current year. In terms of sales, the MDax-listed group expects moderate organic growth, i.e. adjusted for effects such as acquisitions or disposals. "However, a more precise quantification is not reasonably possible against the backdrop of the current high level of uncertainty regarding economic development," the annual report published in Cologne on Thursday stated. In terms of earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) adjusted for special effects, Ströer expects a largely stable development. Both forecasts are slightly below the analyst consensus.

As interest rates have also risen, bottom-line profit - also adjusted for special effects - should decline. Ströer did not make any more precise statements, but intends to provide forecasts for revenue and earnings development in the then current quarter in the respective interim reports.

As already announced, revenue in 2022 increased by nine percent to just under EUR 1.8 billion. Operating profit increased by seven percent to 541 million euros. Ströer did not provide any concrete details on the dividend when publishing the annual report. It was merely announced that 50 percent to 75 percent of adjusted profit would be distributed./zb/mis/stk
