Subsea 7 SA Named Preferred Supplier for Scottish Offshore Wind Project

Subsea 7 SA said Tuesday that Seaway 7 ASA has been named preferred supplier for the Seagreen 1A wind project, offshore Scotland.

The contract--which is classified as 'very large' meaning it is worth between $500 million and $750 million--is expected to start next year. The project could be operational by 2025-26.

The time frame and Seaway 7's selection are subject to the Seagreen 1A project securing consent and a final investment decision by SSE Renewables and TotalEnergies SE, Subsea said.
