SHKP broadcasts the government's "vaccine pass" promotional video in its major malls

Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP) expressed gratitude to the Central Government for their support for the fight against the pandemic and will provide its full support to the Hong Kong SAR Government. The Group will arrange for its hotels to take part in the Community Isolation Facility (CIF) Hotel Scheme, broadcast the "vaccine pass" promotional video in its major malls, and light up a supporting slogan on the International Commerce Centre.

SHKP Chairman and Managing Director Raymond Kwok said: "President Xi Jinping has given important instruction on the fight against the latest wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in Hong Kong and instructed relevant central and local authorities to provide their support. This has given Hong Kong people a strong dose of confidence and clearly shows that the Central Authorities is a staunch supporter of the HKSAR. SHKP is grateful for the Central Government's sincere concern, and will continue to support the Hong Kong SAR Government in the fight against the pandemic. We call on all citizens to join the fight, and urge those who are not yet vaccinated to take the jabs to protect themselves and their family members. We all hope the pandemic will go away, and our daily lives and the economy will get back to normal as soon as possible."

SHKP's anti-pandemic measures include:

1. Providing approximately 1,000 hotel rooms for community isolation

SHKP took prompt action to support the government in arranging hotels for community isolation. Two of its hotels have applied to take part in the CIF Hotel Scheme. If approved, they will provide some 1,000 hotel rooms for COVID-19 patients with no or mild symptoms, alleviating the acute shortage of isolation facilities. SHKP would like to thank its hotel staff for their selfless service in supporting the government's isolation scheme.

2. Stepping up anti-pandemic publicity

To enhance public awareness of the latest anti-pandemic measures, SHKP's major malls and key properties it manages (including residential, industrial and office buildings) will broadcast the government's "vaccine pass" promotional video. The video will also be uploaded to SHKP's property management mobile apps "SoProp" and "Live e-asy", which are being used by hundreds of thousands of residents. It is hoped that these initiatives will help facilitate a smooth implementation of the "vaccine pass" scheme.

3. Calling all to join the fight

The International Commerce Centre, the tallest building in Hong Kong, started lighting up a supporting slogan to encourage people from all walks of life to join the fight the pandemic.
