Suntory Ups Domestic Sales Target for Its Iyemon Tokucha
- Annual sales target upgraded from 8 million of initial plan to 10 million cases -

Suntory Beverage & Food Limited (SBF) will upgrade its annual sales target for Iyemon Tokucha, our Food for Specified Health Use (FOSHU) that continues to post strong sales, from eight million cases to 10 million cases.

Iyemon Tokucha is the first FOSHU product to ever focus on the breakdown of fat and help the processing of lowering body fat. In addition, Iyemon Tokucha uses Japanese tea leaves carefully selected by a "chasho" (master tea blender) from the venerable tea company Fukujuen in Kyoto. The beverage's key feature is that consumers can enjoy it at work and in a variety of other settings outside of regular meals, and we have created a flavor that you'll never tire of drinking on a daily basis.

This year, in its second year since product launch, sales of Iyemon Tokucha remain extremely strong and as of late July total sales already exceeded six million cases. As such, we have upgraded our annual sales target to 10 million cases.

SBF continues to spread the word about Iyemon Tokucha through various channels like TV commercials featuring actors Masahiro Motoki and Rie Miyazawa as well as consumer campaigns so customers everywhere can have the chance to experience its outstanding features for themselves.
