SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (AP) _ Superior Industries International Inc. (SUP) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $1.7 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Southfield, Michigan-based company said it had net income of 26 cents per share.

The maker of aluminum wheels for the auto industry posted revenue of $347.5 million in the period.

Superior Industries expects full-year revenue in the range of $1.3 billion to $1.37 billion.

Superior Industries shares have more than doubled since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen fivefold in the last 12 months.
