Swire Properties has named Henry Bott as president of its Miami-based U.S. real estate operation, succeeding Kieran Bowers. Bowers has led the real estate operations in Miami for Hong Kong-based Swire since early 2017, when the Brickell City Centre mixed-use project was completed. He helped get the retail, residential, restaurant and hotel complex up and running, making it one of the most visited spots in Miami.

Swire said Bowers and his family plan to move back to his native United Kingdom. Bott has been with Swire for 12 years, most recently as its chief representative in Vietnam, where he oversaw $2 billion in real estate investments. Before that, he was senior portfolio manager for Swire's Taikoo Place office district in Hong Kong.

He helped launch the 1 million-square-foot One Taikoo Place office tower. That experience could serve Bott well. Swire is partnering with New York-based the Related Cos.

to build the 1.5 million-square-foot One Brickell City Centre office tower here. That would be the largest office in Miami.
