Shares in Symphony Environmental Technologies PLC rose Tuesday after the company said that it has secured a supply agreement with Grupo Bimbo for bread packaging in the Americas.

Shares at 0752 GMT were up 3.25 pence, or 20%, at 19.25 pence.

The U.K. plastic-technology company said it will supply the Mexican company with its d2p antimicrobial technology for an extendable period of three years.

The supply will be exclusive in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, the company said.

The antimicrobial technology for the bread packaging has been under evaluation for around two years, it said.

"Its successful conclusion and commercial adoption, makes a big difference to the company, and lays the foundation for our Food and Drug Administration approved, d2p antimicrobial bread packaging for the whole world - not just in the Americas," Chief Executive Officer Michael Laurier said.
