Symtek Automation Asia Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2020. For the first quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 646.883 million compared to TWD 796.228 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 39.070 million compared to TWD 52.373 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 33.570 million compared to TWD 35.583 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.57 compared to TWD 0.62 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was TWD 0.54 compared to TWD 0.61 a year ago.
Symtek Automation Asia Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the planning, design, research, development, manufacture and sales of automation equipment and related products, as well as the provision of installation and after-sales services. The Company operates through three segments. The Electronic Business Unit (EBU) segment provides printed circuit boards, flex boards, integrated circuit (IC) carrier boards and packages, high-density interconnect (HDI) boards and ceramic substrates, as well as plant logistics services. The Optoelectronics Business Unit (PBU) segment provides thin-film transistor liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCDs), light-emitting diodes (LEDs), touch panels and light guide plates, as well as plant logistics and information integration services. The Semiconductor Business Unit (SBU) segment provides semiconductors, IC packaging and testing and solar power, as well as intelligent automation, plant logistics and information integration services.
