On a per-share basis, the Moorestown, New Jersey-based company said it had a loss of 91 cents. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, came to 1 cent per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 1 cent per share.

The developer of health care software posted revenue of $82.3 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $81.5 million.

Tabula Rasa Healthcare shares have dropped 12% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $37.59, a fall of 24% in the last 12 months.
