Taiwan Mobile : Revenue and profit results for August

TWM announced August consolidated revenue of NT$9.56bn. EBITDA was NT$2.77bn with an operating income of NT$1.63bn and net income of NT$1.45bn. EPS was NT$0.53. For the first eight months of 2017, TWM reported a consolidated revenue of NT$75.62bn, an EBITDA of NT$22.29bn, an operating income of NT$13.24bn and a net income of NT$10.54bn. EPS for the first eight months was NT$3.87.

Rosie Yu, Chief Financial Officer and Spokesperson of TWM, stated that, in August, momo's ecommerce business dazzled by growing 32% YoY while mobile value-added service revenue continued to grow. In addition, cable TV revenue saw an increase from the previous month while remaining flat on a YoY basis. Thus, EBITDA and operating income increased 1% and 3% YoY, respectively, if the domestic internet business were excluded. Overall, year-to-August EPS of NT$3.87 has reached 73% of its full-year forecast.
