Taiwan Mobile announced July 2020 unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$10.39bn, operating income of NT$1.31bn, net income of NT$1.03bn, and EPS of NT$0.37. For the first seven months of the year, TWM reported cumulative unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$73.58bn, operating income of NT$9.93bn, net income of NT$7.39bn, and EPS of NT$2.63.

Rosie Yu, Chief Financial Officer and Spokesperson, commented that momo's e-commerce business performance continued to be solid with a 32% YoY revenue growth in July. Thanks to gross margin expansion and operating leverage, e-commerce operating income doubled YoY. As for the telecom business, TWM launched 5G commercial services on July 1st, and the 5G rate plan sign-ups thus far have been ARPU accretive. At the same time, IoT subscribers further grew on the back of rising demand for smart meters. For the first seven months of 2020, cumulative consolidated operating income turned to a YoY decline of 1%, as 5G spectrum amortization began in July. That said, operating income of all major businesses achieved management expectations and cumulative consolidated net income reached 66% of Company's FY20 guidance.
