Taiwan Mobile announced September 2020 unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$10.19bn, operating income of NT$1.20bn, net income of NT$0.85bn, and EPS of NT$0.31. For the first three quarters of the year, TWM reported cumulative unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$94.44bn, operating income of NT$12.46bn, net income of NT$9.18bn, and EPS of NT$3.27.

Rosie Yu, Chief Financial Officer and Spokesperson, commented that e-commerce revenue growth remained solid at 27% YoY in September. As for our mobile business, with increased 5G handset options, sign-ups for NT$1399 and above handset bundles rose by >10% in September. For the first three months after the 5G service launch, YoY decline in mobile service revenue narrowed gradually, while 5G penetration rate outpaced 4G's by around 50% comparing to the same period. Nevertheless, since the iPhone 11 series was launched in September last year but the new iPhone has yet to be released, handset sales dropped YoY, resulting in a YoY decline in September consolidated revenue. For the first three quarters of 2020, cumulative consolidated operating income fell YoY, as a result of higher spectrum amortization post 5G service launch. That said, operating income of all major businesses achieved management expectations and cumulative consolidated net income reached 82% of Company's FY20 guidance.
