NEW YORK (AP) _ Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. (TTWO) on Monday reported fiscal third-quarter earnings of $182.2 million.

The New York-based company said it had net income of $1.57 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.25 per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 23 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 95 cents per share.

The publisher of "Grand Theft Auto" and other video games posted revenue of $860.9 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $814.3 million, also topping Street forecasts. Twenty-two analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $750.2 million.

For the current quarter ending in March, Take-Two said it expects revenue in the range of $702 million to $752 million.

The company expects full-year earnings to be $4.08 to $4.18 per share, with revenue ranging from $3.24 billion to $3.29 billion.

Take-Two shares have climbed roughly 3% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $213.25, a rise of 67% in the last 12 months.
