BEIJING (AP) _ TAL Education Group (TAL) on Thursday reported a loss of $169 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Beijing-based company said it had a loss of 27 cents. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense, were 14 cents per share.

The education services provider posted revenue of $1.36 billion in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $116 million, or 19 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $4.5 billion.

For the current quarter ending in June, TAL Education said it expects revenue in the range of $1.3 billion to $1.32 billion.

TAL Education shares have dropped 12% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 24% in the last 12 months.
